Follows physician orders and facility policy and procedure in ordering, storing, Accounting/Finance for, and administration of drugs, treatments, and tube feedings.
Records on a timely basis all medications/treatments administered, including reasons for and effect of PRN medications. Documents on the nurse's notes significant observations regarding the resident's needs for and/or response to medications/treatment. Stores medications in a safe manner and accounts for all controlled substances through accurate recording. Orders, stores, and administers tube feedings.
Graduate of an approved school for licensed practical nursing or registered nursing. Must hold a current, valid license in the State of Arizona and have an understanding of DHS rules. Previous experience in a geriatric setting preferred. Must be flexible and have a desire to communicate and work with seniors. Must have 2 years Assisted Living experience. Knowledge of Assisted Living rules and regulations. Must be motivated, self-starter, with a passion to serve seniors.
