Bedrooms /corridors /function rooms /public areas are maintained: Supervising the daily cleaning of assigned rooms, bathrooms, corridor areas and public areas to the highest standards. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. May purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories. Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness. Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action. Apartments to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective or discharges to prepare work assignments. Coordinates work activities among departments.
At least 3 yrs. experience with prior experience in apartment or hotel cleaning. A desire to communicate with seniors a MUST. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and stand for long periods of time. Specific Requirements: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals written in English. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Bilingual preferred. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to present oneself in an orderly manner. Willingness to adapt to the changing demands of this position. Be helpful and polite to residents, to be understanding of their needs and respect their privacy, personal property and confidentiality. Keep areas of responsibility clean, neat and organized. Cooperate with and be polite to all staff, residents and visitors.
