Assists Christian Care residents with adjustment to a lifestyle change, as well as providing spiritual guidance and opportunities for involvement and maintaining contact to facilitate an ongoing assessment of the resident, to confirm that he/she is in a safe environment. Teach/lead services, classes, and studies as planned/requested. Work with other staff to provide for the needs of the residents. Make hospital/home visits to Christian Care residents who have special needs - spiritual, emotional, or physical. Be available to provide spiritual advice counseling to staff, residents, and families. Provide information to outlying churces/groups about the services of Christian Care. Provide fundraising activities as required.


Communicate with and relate well with elder population, the public and staff in a courteous and diplomatic manner under all circumstances. Work independently with little supervision. Prioritize job duties. Greet new residents and provide information about available services. Work with residents and their families to facilitate changes in services/living arrangements. Develop and maintain a good working relationship with other departments within Fellowship Square and outside community health, welfare and social agencies to assure the needs of the residents are met. Maintain confidentiality of all resident information. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department.


Christian Church/Church of Christ Restoration Movement background required. Fundraising experience preferred. Must be at least 25 years old. Must be able to understand and read the English language. Must be an ordained minister of the Christian Church or have a combination of education/work experience. Experience in elderly health care field. College degree or combination of education/work experience.
