    Job Description: 

    The purpose of this position is to direct the day-to-day functions of the HUD apartment buildings located in Phoenix and Cottonwood, in accordance with current Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations. The Director of Subsidized Housing assures that the highest degree of quality service is provided to the residents of Christian Care, at all times.

    Responsibilities

    1. Responsible for the functions of the apartment business offices to include answering the telephone, maintaining tenant files, leases agreements and handling inquires as mandated by the U.S. Department of HUD.
    2. Responsible to complete certifications and re-certifications of tenants as required by the U.S. Department of HUD.
    3. Responsible to maintain waiting list and advertise for new tenants as required by the U.S. Department of HUD.
    4. Serves as Section 504 Coordinator regarding Compliance with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Disability/Accessibility Provisions of the Fair Housing Act of 1988.
    5. Serves as the EIV Coordinator for the Christian Care organizations including Phoenix, Mesa and Cottonwood.
    6. Prepares annual budget for each building with input from department directors.
    7. Review complaints and grievances and make necessary oral/written reports to the Executive Director.
    8. Upholds and promotes the Christian Care Mission, Vision, and Values.
    9. Directly supervise and manage a team of 2-6 employees.
    10. Represent the facility in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies including HUD, or provide an authorized representative of the facility when unable to attend such meetings.
    11. Review and interpret monthly financial statements and provide such information to the Executive Director.
    12. Assure that adequate supplies and equipment are on hand to meet the day‑to‑day operational needs of the facility and residents.
    13. Make routine inspections of the facility to assure that established policies and procedures are being implemented and followed.

    Qualifications

    - High school diploma or a general equivalency diploma required, at minimum

    - Three years training in apartment management and/or three years work experience in real estate property management and leasing

    - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel and Outlook

    - Three years of experience leading and supervising employees

    - Basic knowledge of payroll applications and processes

    - Knowledge of Yardi leasing and property management software preferred
