Job Description: 

The primary purpose of this position is to act as a deterrent to crime and oversee resident safety. As a Security Officer you will respond to all resident emergency calls, observing and reporting any unusual activities that take place throughout the property. You will enforce the policies and rules set forth by Christian Care, and protect the rights of all residents within the framework of Federal, State and Local laws.  To carry out these ideals, within the law and the rules of this institution, you will have the power to act as your professional judgment requires. May also have to perform some "general" maintenance duties may as the need arises.

Responsibilities

Respond to resident emergency alerts. Generally assist residents as needed. Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses. Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Perform data entry. Answer phones and direct calls accordingly. Contact emergency services as needed. 

Qualifications

Minimum of HS diploma or GED. Valid AZ driver's license. Skills required include great observation, good judgment, common sense, and excellent communication skills - both verbal and written. Computer experience a must.
