The primary purpose of this job position is to supervise resident life functions at Fellowship Square (activities and social services); and to coordinate campus wide volunteer ministries, including recruitment, training and placement of volunteers on the campus.  The Surprise campus includes Fellowship Square and the Oasis. 



  1. The FS Director of Resident Life shall supervise the Director of Activities, Resident Life Coordinator and Outpatient Rehab Office Manager positions at Fellowship Square Surprise.
  2. Work with the marketing department to maintain optimum occupancy at Fellowship Square. This includes resolving resident and family member complaints; completion of annual Senior Lifesteps assessments; recommending residents for higher levels of care; assisting with lease renewals; processing resident move out functions while providing a high level of customer service to all.
  3. Participate in planning, physical set-up, and staffing of in-house events and classes, including coordination with other departments as directed by the Executive Director.
  4. Coordinate the volunteer program and maintain records for the campus.
  5. Serve as a resource to residents on volunteer opportunities both on campus and in the community.
  6. Review F/S activity calendars including monthly event postings and newsletters.
  7. Purchase items and maintain inventory of Fellowship Square gift shop.
  8. Decorate activity rooms; family rooms; north and south entrances to the season.
  9. Complete ORC audits and review Aging Report monthly for Receivables.
  10. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff and residents.
  11. Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected.
  12. Follow all established safety procedures and precautions when accompanying residents on and off property.
  13. Promote the Christian Care entities to the residents and public in a positive manner.
  14. Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by the Executive Director.



  1. Education: A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university is recommended; an extended length of service in a senior care field may substitute for education.
  2. Experience: A minimum for 5-years experience with senior activities and volunteer coordination.
