 Job Description: 

The purpose of this position is to provide an outstanding fine dining room experience for residents and guests while keeping in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, as well as our established policies and procedures as may be directed by the Dining Room Manager, Food Service Director, or Executive Director. 

• Set up dining room tables for meal service and other related events.
• Take residents'/guests' orders and serve them promptly. 
• Follow regulations for safe handling of food and service items.
• Clear tables after meal service. Wash down tables and chairs.
• Effectively communicate with the Dining Room Manager, fellow servers, and kitchen staff to ensure proper food service experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Dining Room Manager.

• Minimum 1 year experience required, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Understand table service etiquette.
• Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.
• Must be trainable.
• Ability to communicate with and relate well to the elderly population, the public, and staff courteously and diplomatically under all circumstances.
• Have good communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to hear and interpret various noises/sounds, including background noises/sounds.
• Must be enthusiastic, bubbly, personable, energetic and positive.
• Team player; people person.
