 Job Description:

 

This position's primary purpose is to support the coordination and execution of in-house and off-campus activities, events, resident transportation, volunteer coordination, and community excursions in an efficient manner, following established procedures and as directed by the Activities Director.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate on-site and off-site events as directed by the Director of Activities.
  • Participate in planning, physical set-up, and staffing of in-house events and classes.
  • Participate in planning and staffing of resident excursions in the community.
  • Maintain resident reservations and activity sign-up records.
  • Follow up with residents by phone or personally to confirm activity sign-up and reservation.
  • Disseminate activity schedules to residents, including monthly event postings and newsletters.
  • Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm attitude when visiting with staff and residents.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident information to assure resident rights are protected.

Qualifications

  • Prior event planning experience required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Able to make independent decisions when in various circumstances.
  • Must possess good communication and people skills.
  • Office and administrative skills a must.
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher required.
  • Must be innovative.
  • Team player.
  • Hard worker.
  • Love having fun.
