Assistant Caregiver

Job Description:  

The purpose of this position is to help the Assisted Living Certified Caregivers with daily functions of Assisted Living residents which may include providing a broad range of support services to these residents. This is an entry-level position designed for training while an individual is working to obtain his or her Caregiver certification.

• Perform welfare checks on residents
• Document and report care provided and resident observations
• Provide physical assistance, laundry & bedding assistance, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers
• Maintain a healthy and comfortable living environment

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required 
• Valid Level 1 fingerprint clearance card required (If don’t have, must obtain within 20 days of employment)
• Current Negative TB test required (if don’t have, we can test at no cost to you)
• Must be respectful and compassionate
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
