Overview

Our senior living facility is looking for a Director of Nursing to oversee nursing care and nursing personnel in a supportive, patient-focused environment. The Director of Nursing will have overall responsibility for the supervision of nursing care and nursing personnel, ensuring that all staff meet state and federal regulatory requirements and provide the highest level of care for our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and update nursing policies and standards to ensure high-quality geriatric care.
  • Schedule nursing staff, supervise performance, and serve as Charge Nurse when needed.
  • Lead in-service training programs and support ongoing professional growth.
  • Monitor care quality through rounds, care plan reviews, and incident report evaluations; ensure adherence to state and federal regulations.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and maintain open communication with residents, families, and external healthcare providers.
  • Act on behalf of the Administrator as required and oversee specialized programs, including MDS and CNA training.

Qualifications

  • Must be currently licensed in the State of Arizona as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent nursing experience, with a preference for experience in a geriatric setting.
  • At least 2 years of leadership experience, including managerial responsibilities, preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulations pertaining to nursing care institutions and patient rights.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel across all departments.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet usage.
  • Pleasant personality, demonstrating both understanding and authoritative qualities.
  • Adherence to dress code and a well-groomed professional appearance.

Pay Rate: The starting pay rate for the positions is $110,000 per year, with compensation varying based on experience.
