We are seeking an outgoing Director of Experience to bring energy, creativity, and compassion to our vibrant senior living community. This is more than a job — it’s a calling to enrich the lives of our residents through meaningful, engaging, and purposeful social, educational, and recreational programs. If you're a dynamic leader who thrives on building connections and creating joyful experiences, we want to meet you.

About the Role

As the Activities Director, you will plan, develop, and oversee a dynamic range of programs designed to meet the social, cognitive, and physical needs of our residents. You’ll manage and lead a team of support staff, volunteers, and drivers. From arranging outings and holiday celebrations to crafting monthly newsletters and coordinating educational seminars, you will be at the heart of community life.

Candidates with previous experience in senior living and a strong background in leading activities or life enrichment programs are highly encouraged to apply. This role requires both creativity and empathy to ensure residents experience an engaging, connected, and fulfilling lifestyle.

Responsibilities

  • Creating strategies and programs that drive the customer experience.
  • Facilitate events for Resident Appreciate Month (September), and throughout the year, as reflected in strategy and plans.
  • Engage and build relationships with Residents by attending Monthly New Resident Events, Leading and Planning Monthly Resident Meetings, and personally handling all Annual Lease Renewals.
  • Initiate and lead monthly Resident Services programming planning meetings.
  • Work with the VP to create an on-going TRAINING System and Program for Directors, Supervisors, and Front-Line Employees, that drives our Resident Experience.
  • Coordinate with the VP and Director of Sales, for any Digital or traditional Marketing required, to advance the department and drive resident experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior living, life enrichment, or a similar health-related or hospitality field.

  • Prior experience leading an activities or engagement department within a senior living community strongly preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Minimum age of twenty-one (21).

  • Demonstrated ability to seek out and implement new methods and practices that enhance resident life.

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven success in planning and executing resident engagement or life enrichment programs within a senior living or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and team development abilities — able to inspire, mentor, and motivate diverse staff and volunteers.
  • Creative program design skills with the ability to balance large events and intimate, resident-focused activities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for connecting with residents, families, and community partners.
  • Enthusiastic, compassionate, and service-oriented with a genuine passion for enriching residents’ lives.

Benefits:

  • Daily pay option.
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Paid time off and paid sick leave.
  • 403b matched retirement plan.
  • $15,000 Life insurance paid by company and option to purchase additional insurance.
  • Career Advancement Opportunities.
  • Employee assistance program and much more!
