The purpose of the Physical Therapist Assistant position is to assist the Physical Therapist in providing skilled Physical therapy services to patients of Covenant Home Health Agency.  The Physical therapist assistant is required to perform his/her duties in accordance with the current applicable Federal, State and local standards, guidelines and regulations and Covenant established policies and procedures.     The Physical Therapist Assistant is a Covenant Home Health employee.  The Director of Nursing is responsible for recruiting, hiring, evaluating, and supervising Physical therapists to provide services for Covenant HHA.  The HHA DON provides on-site supervision and communicates with the Administrator regarding all personnel issues regarding the Physical therapist.    The Physical Therapist Assistance will function in accordance with the state of Arizona professional standards, the state’s physical therapist practices act which can be found at the HHA or Human Resources.  The therapist will also follow Covenant Home Health policies and procedures covering the scope of services offered by the physical therapy department.
